Mr. Daniel Ammann - General Motors
Dan Ammann was named GM Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer in April 2011 and leads GM's financial and accounting operations on a global basis. Previously, he served as Vice President Finance and Treasurer since April 2010. He was appointed to the Opel Supervisory Board in November 2011. 

Before joining GM, Ammann was managing director and head of Industrial Investment Banking for Morgan Stanley, a position he held since 2004.  During his 11 years at Morgan Stanley, he was instrumental in many high profile assignments spanning mergers, acquisitions, raising capital and restructuring; including advising GM during its 2009 restructuring. Ammann also spent five years at Credit Suisse in New York and New Zealand.

Ammann, a native of New Zealand, was born on April 15, 1972. He holds a Bachelor of Management Studies (First Class Honours) in Economics and Finance from the University of Waikato in New Zealand.

Panel 1: Perspectives on Driving Change in an Organization

Panelists from a range of corporate functions and industries will share their experiences on successfully guiding an organization through change. Attendees will hear experiences from General Managers, Internal Strategic Consultants, and Management Consultants.

Vandana Bahri  - Bayer Business Consulting
Vandana Bahri has over twelve years of experience in commercial management, strategy development, organization design and operational excellence in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries through her various roles within industrials and consulting organizations. In her current role, she is part of the Management Team of Bayer Business Consulting North America, which is the global in-house consulting arm of the Bayer Group, providing management consulting services exclusively to senior decision-makers across all Subgroups of Bayer worldwide. She has also worked at Capgemini Consulting, Johnson and Johnson and The Times of India Group. She holds a Masters in Business Administration, a Masters in Advertising Management and a Bachelors in Economics.

Kristin Zinda - Accenture
Kristin Zinda is a Partner in Accenture’s North America Retail practice.  With 15 years of consulting experience, she has had the opportunity to drive Change Management, Talent and Human Performance programs at major retailers across the country and abroad.  While Kristin specializes in leading and driving leadership agendas on people, she has also led onshore and offshore business, technical and change management teams across functional areas in merchandising, supply chain, stores, and HR.
Kristin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and Masters of Education from the University of Minnesota.
  


Leslie Hyman - MetLife
Leslie Hyman is Vice President of the Direct Businesses group in Global Brand Marketing and Communication.  Leslie's primary role within the Direct Businesses team is leading a new and innovative area transforming the way Life Insurance is sold in the United States by developing distribution through large retail partners.  Leslie until recently ran the MetLife Affinity Marketing group and was influential in establishing MetLife as a significant player in the direct consumer marketing arena by extending existing strong relations with some of the largest financial institutions in the US.   

Leslie Hyman is the Team Lead as MetLife develops a revolutionary business selling "life insurance in a box" in Walmart.  An enterprise-wide MetLife team developed a pilot, selling in over two hundred stores in Georgia and South Carolina starting in September 2012.  The Walmart program is a great example of how MetLife is leading the industry as an innovative, customer-centric, well-managed company dedicated to getting Life Insurance to break down the barriers to enable and embolden customers to act to build their financial security. 

Prior to joining MetLife, Leslie spent eight years at Chartis, managing Direct to Consumer insurance marketing.  Prior to that she led the initiative to bring Gasoline marketing to market with Priceline.  Leslie has an undergraduate degree from Williams College and an MBA from Columbia University. 

Panel 2: Leveraging International Experience to Manage a Global Business

Students will hear from top business leaders operating in a dynamic, global business environment. Panelists will reflect on their personal experiences managing a global business and the lessons they have learned from the global financial crisis.

Ricardo Levy - Braskem
Ricardo Levy is Braskem’s Sales Director for North America. He leads a team of seven Account Managers responsible for approximately half of Braskem’s revenue in the region. Prior to his current position, Ricardo was Braskem’s General Manager in North America, when he was was responsible for Braskem’s sales office in Houston, TX. With 15 years of experience in the petrochemical business, Ricardo has held a variety of positions within Braskem, including research and development, technical service and then sales and management.

Ricardo has a broad international experience; he has lived in many different regions in Brazil and the US and has directly led business discussions and relationships with partners in Europe, Asia, North and South America. He is currently based in Philadelphia, PA.

Ricardo received his Materials Engineering degree from Universidade Federal de São Carlos in Brazil, where he also obtained his Master Science degree in Materials Science in 2001. He also holds an MBA from The Wharton School, with majors in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management.

Xavier Unkovic - Mars
Xavier Unkovic has served French, Canadian and U.S consumer markets with his impressive and thorough background in sales, marketing and business management. Most recently, Unkovic has worked for the Mars Drinks segment as the Regional President since February 2010. He manages US, Canada, Japan, Southeast Asia, and Continental Europe Single Serve markets under the single mission: “To deliver the best-tasting hassle free drinks you’ll ever get in the office.” Unkovic originally began his career at Mars in 1999, when he started with the Royal Canin segment of Mars Petcare. While with Royal Canin, the global leader in Health Nutrition food for dogs and cats, Unkovic worked with sales figures of USD 2 billion (70% international) and led a workforce of 4200 associates. Unkovic was in various roles over his ten years with Royal Canin. From 1995 to 1997, he was the Regional Sales Director in Region Paris Ile de France. He was then promoted to National Key Account Manager in France, and a year later to Vice President of Royal Canin Canada. In 2000, Unkovic was promoted to the role of General Manager and CEO of Royal Canin USA. Three years later, Unkovic returned to Royal Canin Canada as the General Manager and CEO. During his time with Royal Canin, Unkovic managed teams of hundreds of associates, increased sales, and successfully turned around company net income. Previously, Unkovic worked for Deloitte & Touche as an auditor specializing in Merger & Acquisition Audits from 2000-2002.  He received his Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Montpellier, further education from Ecole Supérieure de Gestion de Paris, and most recently, was at the Mars General Manager School (joint program with the London Business School and Harvard Business School).
  
David Flueck - Starwood Hotels & Resorts
David Flueck is Vice President, SPG Global Program and Operations where he oversees global operations and business development for SPG as well as global financial services partnerships including American Express co-brand credit cards in the US, Canada and the UK.  Previously, David was on the Westin brand team leading strategic initiatives including the early brand development of Element. 
 
Prior to joining Starwood in 2004, David was Senior Vice President at Medcan Health Management, and a consultant for The Boston Consulting Group.  Mr. Flueck has an MBA from the University of Chicago, and a degree in economics from the University of Colorado.
